The following Terms govern all use of the Regent International University website (http://www.regentinternational.university) (the Site), the online course system (the Tool), and the services available through the Site (the Service). By using the Site, Tool or Service, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms.
Use of the Site, Tool and Service is limited to Regent International faculty, staff, students and alumni, and approved external users.
The Tool, the Service and the Site are provided to you “as is”.
REGENT INTERNATIONAL GIVES NO WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, TO ANY USER, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, WARRANTIES OF NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, NO WARRANTY IS GIVEN THAT: (A) THE TOOL, SERVICE AND SITE ARE UP TO DATE, ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR RELIABLE; (B) ANY DEFECTS OR ERRORS WILL BE CORRECTED; (C) THE TOOL, SITE OR SERVICE ARE ERROR-FREE OR FREE OF BUGS, VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS; OR (D) THE RESULTS OF USING THE SERVICE OR THE TOOL WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS. YOUR USE OF THE SITE, THE TOOL AND THE SERVICE IS SOLELY AT YOUR OWN RISK.IN NO EVENT SHALL REGENT INTERNATIONAL, NOR THE MEMBERS OF ITS GOVERNING BOARDS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, PARTNERS, SUPPLIERS OR CONTENT PROVIDERS, BE LIABLE UNDER ANY LEGAL THEORY FOR ANY LOSSES OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING DIRECT DAMAGES, LOST PROFITS, AND SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (HOWEVER ARISING), INCURRED AS A RESULT OF YOUR USE OF THE SITE, THE TOOL, OR THE SERVICE.
The Tool, the Service and the Site are provided by Regent International to facilitate group work and communication among members of the Regent International community and external internet users. Uses inconsistent with this purpose are prohibited, including, but not limited to: (1) activities that are illegal or fraudulent; (2) use that inaccurately implies or suggests endorsement, approval, or sponsorship by Regent International University (or any individual officer of the University); (3) use that can be confused with official communications of Regent International University or their officers; (4) mass mailings (sometimes known as spamming"); (5) individual file storage not related to Regent International University group work; (6) personal web space; (7) storage of materials considered under Regent International Enterprise Information Security Policy (RIEISP) to be "high risk" or otherwise confidential (see below); (8) commercial or non-Regent International related activity. Use must not infringe copyright or any other rights and content is subject to removal if an infringement is found.
Access to the Tool, the Service and the Site will be denied to those who engage in these or similar practices.
Use of the Tool, the Service and the Site with Confidential Information is Prohibited
Users of the Tool, the Service and the Site must comply with RIEISP. Because the Tool, the Service and the Site are primarily intended for collaboration and publication of information to users of the Internet, content defined as "high risk" or "confidential" in RIEISP is not appropriate for storage or publication in the Tool, the Service and the Site.
Although the Tool, the Service and the Site feature access control capabilities to restrict access to information on a given site, a certain degree of privacy risk exists any time information is shared over the Internet. Users must take all possible precautions to ensure access settings are correctly configured.
Regent International University reserves the right to discontinue any or all online services at any time or to revise these Terms. Changes to these Terms will be posted on this site.
